God’s Story; From Creation to Eternity

Over 3.5 billion people in the world cannot or will not read and write. They are called oral learners and oral communicators. They pass and receive information orally, mainly through stories. God’s word is for such people also. But God knew it when He was putting together His word. Did you know that the Bible is 75% stories? This exciting Bible video takes you on a journey through the bible in story form chronologically. Translated in over 180 languages worldwide, many missionaries have come to term it a “stone clearing” tool. And in remote areas with no electricity and advanced technologies, the solar powered MV players have proved extremely effective. Like one Maasai pastor in Kenya said, “the solar player with God’s Story in it has given my members more than all I’ve given them in the last ten years…” Available in Swahili and other African languages, God’s Story comes with an easy-to-use discussion guide the allows the leader to lead life changing interactions through each story that is covered in God’s Story. If you’re in East Africa, contact us to place your orders. Otherwise visit www.videoofthebible.com to order online.

Simply The Story (STS)

It is an open fact that the most profound truths of God are hidden in the simple stories of the Bible. With this new and exciting method of teaching, God’s word now comes alive as many around the world begin to discover treasures they’ve never seen before. It’s the Jesus model of simply telling the story and asking questions. Reports are coming from India, Nepal, Myanmar, Thailand, USA, East Africa, West Africa, Southern Africa, and beyond about the impact of this God given method. If you would like to attend an STS and be certified as a practitioner or trainer of others, contact us or for details. You may also visit www.gods-story.org or www.simplythestory.com for worldwide training dates.

Timothy Church Planter Training (TCPT)

At last the “Bible Gap” can be filled. The TCPT puts the word into the hands of non-literate pastors, evangelists and church planters. And the impact is beyond our imagination. In TCPT, the concept and method of STS is learned exclusively oral. Using recorded bible stories packaged in the MV Solar players, non-literate persons emerge more equipped than ever before for the work of ministry. The units serve as there “oral bibles” making these dear servants of God more effective than ever! Read more on the TCPT here, www.gods-story.org

Firefighters For Christ Media Library

Have you ever heard it said that the church in Africa is a mile wide and only an inch deep? It’s a sad state of affairs. The great commission was to go and make disciples. Unfortunately, we made converts in Africa and to a large extent we forgot to make disciples. The question rises, “who is a disciple anyway?” Jesus says, we are truly His disciples if we obey His word. A disciple is a student of the Word! With the advancement of technology and the world moving at a faster pace than ever before, it is evident that less and less people are reading books. Very few people have read and completed five books after high school graduation. The Christian library that we operate from Firefighters for Christ is a collection of teachings from over 500 teachers of the word collected in a period of over 30 years. We have close to 3000 CDs, MP3s, DVDs, VCDs and PC files representing messages and studies through the bible from such seasoned teachers as J. Vernon McGee, Chuck Missler, Chuck Smith, Billy Graham, Ray Comfort, John Corson, John McArthur and many more!

And the beauty of all is this – they’re free!

Discipleship: Basics in Christianity

When our friend Evangelist Rudy Vaughan of Word Outreach International visited us in Kenya for the first time in 2005, he asked us a question at the end of his trip. He said, “How can we bless the body of Christ in Africa to make it effective in ministry?” Our answer was simple: A lot of people are raising up hands at crusades to accept Jesus, but very few churches have a follow-up or discipleship program for these new believers. This discussion is what gave birth to this easy to use discipleship series called “Basics in Christianity.” The teachings entail eight lessons compiled in sets of students and teachers handouts. These are available in English and Swahili languages from us.

Discipleship: Foundations In The Word

This is a set of Bible Study series that is being developed in partnership with Crossroads Christian Church and His Days of Grace ministries. As a request from Pastors in Konza, Pastor Allen Knox and Gregg Day (Texas, USA) have volunteered to help write a set of studies that will help people that have been Christians for a longer period with little exposure in the word to build a better foundation. The teachings will address such issues as “what does it mean to be a Christian?, gifts of the spirit, communion, baptism, grace v/s works etc… These are being contextualized for group study and personal use. They will also be translated into Swahili and Amharaic. Please check with us again for the availability of these sets.

Effective Communication in Ministry

The business world is cashing in on the communication strategy as more and more people in the market place are realizing the power of effective communication. Companies spend millions of dollars annually in form of public relations and communications strategies. We believe that it is critical for the body of Christ today to rethink our communication strategy if we intend to be effective and relevant in carrying the gospel message to the ends of the earth in this 21st century. This comprehensive three-day course on effective communication in ministry covers a wide range of topics including “how to be successful in media ministry.” This course has been well received by biblical institutions in Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Nigeria and Ethiopia where it has become embedded into curriculums. If you would like to attend the next course or schedule one at your church, kindly contact us. You may also order the booklet and CD by clicking here>>> contact us

Making Disciples of Oral Learners in Africa

We’re a part of the African network using and producing tools for evangelizing and discipling oral learners and oral communicators. This was established during the workshop on orality in the 2006 consultation of the Movement of African National Initiatives (MANI). We would like to share our experiences with you. The next African Consultation on Orality in East Africa takes place in Nairobi, Kenya from June 17th to 19th 2008. Contact us for details or click here>>> to download a brochure!

Digital Resources for Leaders

When we started to be involved with the Learning Technologies ministry of the Mission Aviation Fellowship, we had not yet understood the power of using digital resources in building leaders. Today, pastors and leaders in Africa have come to appreciate the power of technology and are now benefiting a great deal from these leadership and biblical teachings for leaders packaged in digital format. The good news is, it’s all for free! If you would like to get the full list of contents in our digital library, kindly contact us>>>
